When everybody else seems to be playing it safe by launching and re-launching the same neutral nude/beachy bronzy palettes, iconic European beauty brand Zoeva has chosen to depart from the industry norm and inject a fresh attitude into their spring 2017 collection launching today and poetically called Sweet Glamour. The collection, boasting of whimsical pastels, refreshing sorbets and tender blues, is tightly curated around an eyeshadow palette and a blush palette. But this is so much more than pretty pastel hues and romantic blush shades! This collection is a celebration of life in all its glory, a tribute to the lightness of being and liberation of spirit. The shades in these two palettes were designed to help you free your wandering spirit and allow your imagination to transport you places where artistic creativity knows no boundaries. There are countless makeup looks that can be created with these shades, from feminine pastel looks to dreamy daytime makeup, glamorous evening looks and daring artistic makeup.
I had such an incredible time photographing these beautiful palettes and gasp in admiration every time my eyes happen to fall upon their glamorous packaging elegantly displayed on my vanity. Zoeva’s attention to detail is truly remarkable, from the aquarelle-style watercolor print displayed on the packaging to the metallic unicorn-color font revealing the name of the collection. This is a picture-heavy post, so grab your favorite drink of choice, and let’s enjoy the Sweet Glamour!
Zoeva Sweet Glamour Eyeshadow Palette
This is a large eyeshadow palette featuring a romantic array of 10 shades with matte and satin shimmer finishes, thus adding to the versatility of the palette. The soft, delicate tones range from sorbet hues, to tender peach, subtle lilac, pastel blue, and mellow mint green. These shades go well on their own and surprisingly, go just as beautifully when paired together.
The swatches top to bottom and corresponding to the shades from left to right in the palette are:
- Fuzzy Haze – matte milky white lace color, goes well as an all over the lid shade or to accentuate the inner corner and brow bone
- Phantasy Principle – sheeny warm coppery gold with fine shimmers running thru it
- Quite Realistic – matte tender peach tone, not as warm as one would expect and thus flattering for most complexions
- Object to Subject – sheeny subtle lilac color with tiny silver micro shimmers
- Daydream – a matte rich warm lavender shade
- Childhood Adaption – matte soft aqua, looks slightly intimidating in the pan but swatches beautifully
- Wish Fulfilment – a sheeny satin mint green, looks a lot more subtle on the skin than in the pan
- Artistic Creation – sheeny rice paper ivory color, very versatile, could be used all over the lid, for the inner corner, brow bone or to pop in the center of the lid
- Profusion – matte soft hazelnut brown, the perfect crease color
- Spirits Held Desire – sheeny shimmer, looks almost like a holographic shade, has hints of orchid, lilac, pink and gold
All swatches are single swipes, which goes to show just how pigmented and saturated these shades are.
As fans of the brand know already, the quality of the Zoeva eyeshadows is unparalled! The shades are vivid and vibrant. The formula is rich, incredibly creamy and highly pigmented. The texture is soft, buttery, and the colors blend like dream. It was my first time experiencing Zoeva eyeshadows and the quality has exceeded my expectations. These shades blend just as well, if not better than any of my high end eyeshadows (think Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury and Burberry)! There is no fallout once applied onto the lids and the shades seem to maintain their vibrancy for a good 7-8 hours without creasing.
To show you just how versatile this palette is, I have created two makeup looks: a soft day to night and office appropriate look as well as a fun, flirty, Coachella-inspired look.
For the look above, I started out by buffing Artistic Creation all over the lid and then accentuated the crease by sweeping Profusion and blending it out. I popped some Phantasy Principle onto the middle of the lid to bring some luminosity to the eye and added Spirits Held Desire to the outer third. Next I lined my eyes with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Tropper and added the Zoeva Liquid Lipstick Pure Lacquer in Noble Heart (reviewed here) onto my lips. On my cheeks, I’m wearing a mixture of Sweet Escape and Interpretation of Dreams from the Zoeva Sweet Glamour Blush Palette reviewed in this post.
This palette is perfect for spring and summer outdoor festival looks (Coachella is what comes to mind), so you can easily utilize some of the shades to dial up the fun! For the look above, I blended out Object to Subject all over the lid and swept a mix of Profusion and Spirits Held Desire into the crease. I added Daydream to the outer half of my lid, blending upwards toward the crease. I popped Fuzzy Haze onto my inner corners and brow bone. Finished by lining my waterline with a mix of Childhood Adaption and Wish Fulfilment, couldn’t resist had to use these unexpected aqua and mint colors. On my lips I’m wearing Zoeva Liquid Lipstick Pure Velour in Faint of Heart (reviewed here) and on my cheeks I’m wearing Ideal Love from the Zoeva Sweet Glamour Blush Palette reviewed below.
Zoeva Sweet Glamour Blush Palette
A girl can never have enough blushes, and the Zoeva Sweet Glamour collection includes a cool-toned beautiful trio palette: two enchanting, dreamy blush colors and a soft, lustrous highlight.
The swatches corresponding to the shades from left to right in the palette are:
- Sweet Escape – medium cool-toned pink in a matte finish, looks rich and vibrant in the pan but quite natural when applied on the skin
- Ideal Love – the softest peony pink, adds the most dainty and natural flush to the skin
- Interpretation of Dreams – an iridescent highlight with incredibly fine silver micro shimmers running thru it
I have used the blushes on their own, but I have also mixed the highlighter with each of the blush tones, to create a customizable sheeny shade that brings a dainty pop of color and healthy luminosity to the face. This is something I typically do on those rushed mornings, when I keep my makeup minimal yet I still want to look polished and ready to conquer the world. When I have more time though, I can cleverly sculpt the cheeks by using the darker pink shade in the hollow of my cheeks to add dimension to the face, pop the lighter peony color on the apples of my cheeks and sweep the highlighter along the tops of my cheek bones for a more defined look.
I have been incredibly drawn to this collection and have used both palettes often these past few weeks. I can be quite boring when it comes to my daily makeup and typically seldom venture outside the world of brown, taupe-y neutrals. But the Zoeva Sweet Glamour Collection has the power to take you out of a makeup rut and inject liveliness into your day to day look. With its saturated shades, this collection is incredibly alluring and offers limitless options, there truly are no creative boundaries to what can be accomplished with the shade range. If you’ve never tried Zoeva before, don’t hesitate. I have previously reviewed their liquid lipstick range here. The more I try from this brand, the more I find myself joining their cult-like following and eagerly awaiting to see what they have coming up next. Because this brand never dissapoints!

The first thing that came to my mind when I saw these palettes were ?! These pastel shades are so pretty, and I was going to say that I could never pull them off, until I saw your makeup looks. They’re both beautiful and still very wearable! The cheek colors are really pretty too, never thought to use a darker blush to contour the cheeks, but that’s a great idea!

I don’t have any eye palette that has shades like this one does. While I have vowed to stop buying palettes (at least for some time that my husband deems significant), I am still looking for 1) Cream Shadows as I am hooked on those now 2) palettes with colors that are unlike anything I have in my collection . This does meet my criteria so I will check it out! The blush I would say I’m pretty well covered – but I’m intrigued with that eye palette, especially the lavender shades! Very pretty. Thank you for sharing.
