Ending my coverage of the Sephora VIB Sale with the last installment of the series: my Haircare Recommendations. I have a previous post with dates, discount codes and how the sale works (what’s included this year, what’s limited and what’s not a part of the sale) here. There is a separate post on Makeup Recommendations here and Skincare Recommendations here. I figured shorter, more concise posts might be more user-friendly. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
Today I’d like to show you some new and old haircare products that I’ve come to rely on when it comes to managing my main mane.
Note: This post is not meant to be an in-depth review of every product mentioned, but rather a quick overview. I will however try to link a detailed review where I can find one. Let’s dive in …
Haircare
If you ever coveted the infamous Dyson Hair Dryer, the Sephora Sale is THE best time to pick one up! This is the kind of product that never goes on sale and it’s rare that you can find it at a discount. Personally, I’ve seen it included in a sale only at Sephora. Be mindful though, as there are sale limitations on the Dyson this year. Read more on that here. I purchased my Dyson during the Sephora Sale several years ago, purely just to see what the hype was all about and with the intention of returning it. I just couldn’t fathom spending so much money on a blow dryer! Well, it doesn’t necessarily dries my hair quicker that my previous dryer (the Sedu Revolution PRO Dryer), but the Dyson reduces frizz and doesn’t leave my hair feeling dry and dehydrated. Immediately upon drying, my hair is soft, remarkably shiny and bouncy. I hate recommending such an expensive item, but I must say the Dyson dryer has worked wonders on my hair.
I’ve been loving the silk hair ties from SLIP. I carry them in my bag, I have them in my car, basically I never leave the house without one. They’re so gentle on the hair, yet do an excellent job keeping the hair away from the face without tugging or breaking the strands. I received my first pack as a birthday gift a few years ago and have since purchased them for friends and family as gifts and stocking stuffers at Christmas time. I cannot recommend these enough!
I am currently obsessed with this shampoo and conditioner duo. They are pricey, but totally worth it in my humble opinion. First, they work for every hair type. Comprised of a proprietary formulation called ocean silk technology, they provide optimal moisture and balance, while repairing damage. They restore hair hydration and tame frizz. Hair is left supple and strong with added shine, body and bounce. Luckily, Sephora also offers a smaller size of each the shampoo and conditioner, shown here in the photo. The sale is a great opportunity to splurge on the full size.
I adore Briogeo and their haircare line. Their products are clean and formulated with natural ingredients, free of parabens, silicones, SLES and oxidants. This scalp revival shampoo is an exfoliating shampoo that deeply cleanses and removes buildup, while rebalancing and hydrating the scalp. Simply put, it revives and revitalizes the scalp. It’s mild, so it doesn’t irritate or dry out my scalp, yet it’s highly effective. I don’t use it every time I wash my hair, but every 2-3 washes.
I love the look of sun-kissed, multi-dimensional balayge highlighting, but hate the way the process leaves my hair: dry, brittle and weakened. This mask is an absolute savior for damaged and chemically treated hair. I’ve used it for a few years now. It’s the perfect boost of hydration for lackluster locks and infuses the hair with ample moisture without weighing it down.
Kérastase has taken inspiration from the skincare industry and created Nutritive 8HR Magic Night Serum, an overnight treatment aiming to deliver 8 hours of nourishment for the hair. I’m sharing everything you need to know about this highly innovative product and answering one very important question (does it work?) in a previous post here.
I have used this for a few months now and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever use another! It’s hands down the best dry shampoo I’ve ever come across. The mist is ultra-light and distributes evenly. I like to spritz it all over my dry hair at the roots. The scent is clean and pleasant, nothing too overpowering. It instantly revives the hair without leaving the scalp greasy and making my hair tangly, a common problem I’ve experienced with other dry shampoos. I usually use this dry shampoo on day 4-5 and it extends my wash up to a week.
This is a leave-in hair styling cream that’s infused with argan oil and anti-static ingredients to condition, hydrate, and reduce frizz. I started with a deluxe sample and I was immediately hooked. It was love at first pump. The styling cream gives my hair a sense of body and structure, without weighing it down or making it appear greasy or stiff, prepping it for blow drying or styling.
This luxurious oil is liquid gold for the hair! It’s an oldie, but always a goodie. I can’t even remember a time when I wasn’t using the Moroccan Oil Argan Hair Oil, it’s been that long! It improves hair manageability and condition, adds shine and reduces frizz. And it does it all without weight down the hair. I like to warm up a few drops in the palms of my hands and apply throughout damp hair before blow drying or on dry hair after styling to add extra shine and prevent frizz.
I’ve always been a fan of hair spray in general, ever since I discovered this wonderful invention back in my high school days. My love affair with the Moroccan Oil Hair Spray began about 2-3 years ago. This argan oil-infused hairspray leaves hair with a reflective shield of shine that helps fight frizz and humidity, yet brushes out easily. Normally, a styling hair product that provides hold comes hand in hand with sticky and stiff results. But this hairspray provides long-lasting, weightless hold without sacrificing volume and movement.
