NEW Releases From Charlotte Tilbury: Glowgasm Collection, Dreamgasm Eyeshadow Palette and Collagen Lip Bath Glosses | Review and Swatches

There are very few brands out there as consistent and as luxurious in every way as Charlotte Tilbury. The launch of the brand back in 2013 took the beauty world by storm and instantly won a cult-like following. I can’t say that I’m surprised. Charlotte Tilbury makes some of the most refined and elegant makeup. Wearing their products feels utterly effortless, yet instantly sophisticated and empowering. She creates one-of-a-kind makeup that you might not need, but that you will certainly want. And now, the brand has just launched a NEW range of glow-enhancing products cleverly called the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Collection, along with a NEW show-stopping eyeshadow palette called Dreamgasm. There are also two NEW Collagen Lip Bath Glosses in Rosy Glow and Peachy Plump.

Along with these latest releases, the brand has made cream eyeshadows in Rose Gold and Star Gold permanent to their repertoire. That means you will now be able to find these two colors at any counter carrying Charlotte Tilbury makeup. I have reviewed in great detail (with swatches and makeup looks) these cream eyeshadows in a previous post here. But I wanted to show you below how these colors tie-in with the newly released beauty wands I will cover in detail later in the post.

Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Collection

The new Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Collection includes:

• 2 Face Palettes in Lightgasm (for light to medium skin tones) and Lovegasm (for medium to dark skin tones). Each palette features 4 shades: bronzer, blush and 2 highlight options.
• 3 Beauty Wands: 2 blush colors in Pinkgasm and Peachgasm along with 1 highlight color in Goldgasm.

All are Made in Italy.

Glowgasm Face Palette in Lightgasm

Lightgasm is the lighter option of the two face palettes in the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Collection and the one I have. It features:

• Champagne light-gold, shimmery highlight
• Peachy rose-gold, shimmery highlight
• Soft satin-sheen warm-toned bronzer (looks matte on the skin)
• Pink blush with ultra-fine gold shimmers

Everything from colors to emboss and packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I had previously seen this palette all over social media and even added it to my Sephora VIB Sale cart, but never actually took the plunge. You can find my recent Sephora recommendations in a previous post here.

I held back on purchasing this palette for a few reasons. The palette has been heavily advertised as delivering an insane glow. To be honest, I worried it might be a bit too much for me for day to day. I don’t lead a glamorous life. On most days, I work from home and try hard to keep up with my 4-year old. Of course, I love to add a healthy, luminous radiance to the skin on any day. But something that looks natural and effortless. I also worried that the shimmery powders would emphasis my enlarged pores, something I always try to conceal. So, all these reasons kept me from purchasing the palette. It felt a bit out of my comfort zone.

Now, one of the perks of being a beauty blogger is the opportunity to try products that you might not otherwise consider. For me, this has been the case with Lighgasm. It’s one of those products that has managed to unexpectedly surprise me in a very pleasant way.

For starters, the formula is incredible. It has a unique, soft, almost cream-like texture and feel, but with a powder finish. Because of this innovative formula, the product blends like a dream and glides over the skin seamlessly without accentuating pores or skin texture. It is also because of this lightweight formula that the product layers incredibly well. As such, you can easily utilize the powders to achieve the amount of glow desired. One quick swipe is perfect for a more natural day-to-day look. But you can also layer and up the intensity for a more glamorous, dramatic look. I have included swatches of the Filmstar Bronze & Glow Duo for your reference.

In this post, I chose to show you a more natural makeup look just to demonstrate how versatile and how wearable this palette really is. This palette is perfect for every day and no matter what your day brings. For instance, the makeup look below is what I wore to my yoga class this week. I used the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm collection to enhance the natural radiance of my skin and achieve a more polished, put-together look. Here is a breakdown of my gym makeup:

• I started out by first applying my Charlotte Tilbury WonderGlow Primer (previously reviewed here), followed by the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint (covered in great detail here).
• Next, I squeezed a bit of Glowgasm Beauty Wand in Peachgasm onto the back of my hand. Using my Sephora Blush Brush, I blended it onto the apples of my cheeks for a healthy pop of color.
• Using my fingers, I applied a little bit of Glowgasm Beauty Wand in Goldgasm onto the cheekbones. It adds such a soft, natural radiance to the skin.
• Next, I set my T-zone using the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder (reviewed here).
• Then it was time to use my Lightgasm palette. I bronzed my face using the bronzing shade included, swiped a bit of the blush onto my cheeks and highlighted using a mix of the two options included in the palette.
• For the eyes, I used the shades featured in the Charlotte Tilbury Dreamgasm Palette and finished off with two coats of NARS Climax Mascara.
• On the lips, I’m wearing the new Collagen Lip Bath Gloss in Peach Plump.

The Lightgasm palette imparts such a soft, lit-from-within glow giving the appearance of a more youthful, healthy-looking skin.

Glowgasm Beauty Wands

There are 3 new beauty wands:

• Pinkgasm – rose-color shimmery blush
• Peachgasm – peach-color shimmery blush
• Goldgasm – yellow gold shimmery highlight

The formula is creamy, stays soft for blending and then dries down to a satin finish that won’t budge throughout the day. These products look very natural on the skin and are so easy to use. They are excellent options, especially for those of us who are constantly on-the-go and don’t have a lot of time to do our makeup in the morning. They are one of those swipe-and-dab instant-fabulous products!

The wands have a twist-open cap. Simply squeeze the tube to dispense the product on the sponge applicator. I don’t use the sponge directly on the face. Rather, I place the color on the back of my hand and using a beauty blender or brush, I then apply it onto the face.

Dreamgasm Eyeshadow Palette

Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadows are some of my all-time favorites! I have reviewed her formulas in previous posts here and here. Dreamgasm is a limited-edition palette launched just in time for spring and summer. It features a selection of champagne, rose-gold and warm copper bronze shades for a dreamy, sunset glow on the eyes! There isn’t a single shade that I wouldn’t use on the daily! The colors have a velvety consistency, gliding on and blending beautifully. The darkest coppery chestnut shade can be used in the crease to accentuate the gaze, as well as to deepen the outer corner and line the lower lash line.

At a quick glance, the colors appear a bit similar to my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette. But when you apply them on the skin, they’re in fact very unique. I have swatched both palettes side by side, so you can see.

As with all Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow quads, the colors are arranged in the palette in a strategic way indicated on the back of the quad. You prime, enhance, smoke and pop. This makes her palettes very easy to use for anyone, regardless of how skilled you are in applying makeup. 

Collagen Lip Bath Glosses

The best-selling Collagen Lip Bath Gloss line now has two dreamy new shades and a new supersize tube.

• Rosy Glow – a gorgeous wash of deep, glowing pink
• Peachy Plump – a peachy-pink sheer color with gold speckles running thru it

The light-reflecting formula contains Marine Collagen to hydrate, Mustard Sprout Extract to enhance and pearlescent pigments to enchant. The finish is glossy, ultra-comfortable on the lips and delivers a luminous wash of color. The delicate minty fragrance is not too overpowering and refreshing to the senses. In terms of finish and how the formula feels on the lips, these glosses remind me of the Urban Decay Hi-Fi Shine Lip Glosses swatched here.

The applicator has a unique heart shape meant to help layer the color. To be honest, although I like the look of the applicator, I am not the biggest fan. The shape doesn’t seem very precise around the contour of the lips and doesn’t apply the product evenly, separating the color on the lips. This can also be seen in the swatches above. Perhaps there is a learning curve that comes with this new design. However, despite my inability to easily use the applicator, I would still purchase and recommend these glosses. The formula and colors are just that good!
