Have you ever purchased beauty products from Amazon? Don’t get me wrong, I love Amazon and think prime delivery is genius! However, when it comes to beauty, there is a lot of trial and even more error when opting for a site like Amazon. First, you don’t know how the products have been stored and cared for to maintain efficacy of the formula. Secondly, are the sellers reputable and authorized to sell beauty? Are the products authentic? But, we live in a changed world now. We have been social distancing for several weeks, self-quarantining and some people around the world even have strict curfews enforced. So, it’s nice to have a global go-to retail platform like Amazon. We can shop worry-free from the comfort of our own homes at all hours of the day and night.
If you’ve been following my blog or Instagram for a while (first off, a BIG thank you), then you’ll know I’m a big fan of luxury beauty. I have previously dedicated an entire post to Luxury Beauty Sites here. However, there are a few products I prefer to purchase from Amazon. It’s more cost-efficient and why not save, especially during such uncertain times?
Below is a list of Game-Changing Beauty Products Purchased From Amazon …
I’ve previously raved in detail about both of these items here. They’re such staples in my beauty stash. I use the micellar water or wipes on those nights when I’m too tired to use a cleanser to remove my makeup. I still double cleanse, but use the Bioderma first and then wash my face. I will say, the best price for Bioderma is thru the Dermstore whenever they have a sale event. But if there is no sale at the Dermstore, you’re better off heading to Amazon. You can find the Bioderma Micellar Water on Amazon here and the Bioderma Micellar Wipes here.
This mask has worked wonders on my skin! It’s an old favorite of mine and first mentioned it in a previous post here. I love everything about it except that it hasn’t always been that readily available! But now it is thanks to Amazon. It is available here and I highly recommend it.
When it comes to Essie and OPI Nail Polishes, it’s hard to beat Amazon prices! My personal favorite formulas are the Essie Gel Couture line (see a previous post here) and OPI Infinite Shine (formula reviewed in an old post here). Some current favorite colors are:
- Essie Gel Couture in the shades: Matter Of Fiction, Lace Me Up, Pre-Show Jitters, Satin Slipper, Rock The Runway. The Essie Gel Couture Top Coat is one of THE best top coats I’ve ever used.
- OPI Infinite Shine in the shades: Tiramisu for Two, Machu Peach-u, Cajun Shrimp.
I know we’re not going anywhere right now, but sunscreen is a non-negotiable, where you’re staying in or going out, rain or shine. The La Roche Posay Anthelios Sunscreen SPF60 is a great option for the entire family. It’s paraben-free and alcohol-free. I have a previous post on it here. I sometimes buy it at Target if I’m in a hurry and need sunscreen right away. But usually, I stock up on it on Amazon here.
This has been a new discovery and a real game-changing product! It’s a pre-shampoo treatment which removes metals+minerals that dull and darken hair color. And it works! Simply spray it on dry hair, wait 1-3 minutes and then shampoo. The mist works really well to evenly distribute the product throughout and saturate the hair. I love that you don’t have to wait a long time (such as with the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Treatment) and it truly maintains your hair color shiny and vibrant. The WOW Color Dream Filter is available on Amazon here.
I primarily use Tea Tree Oil to disinfect my makeup brushes. It’s a natural anti-septic and has powerful antimicrobial properties. There are detailed posts on my Makeup Brush Cleansing Solution Recipe and How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes. I always make sure to purchase organic tea tree oil from Australia and the one I’ve been repurchasing is this one available on Amazon here.
These are cleaning wipes but for your glasses, sunglasses, cellphone, your vanity mirror, the mirror on your powder compact. They don’t leave any streaks behind, are not abrasive and don’t have a strong scent. We’ve been using them for years and always recommend them to family and friends. You can find them on Amazon here.
Dry brushing is one of the best and most affordable treatments you can do for overall health and wellness of the skin and body. I talk about it in detail here. I must admit I don’t dry brush as often as I should, but now that we have some extra time at home, one of my wellness goals is to get back into dry brushing several times a week. The dry brush I’ve used is from Amazon and you can find it here.
Facial rolling has become all the rage these past few years and for a good reason. It’s like a workout for the face. Two of my most popular posts here on the blog are How To Use A Jade Roller and The Battle of the Rollers: Jade vs. Rose Quartz. I’ve had expensive rollers sent to me by brands, but always return to my original Jade roller purchased from Amazon here.
This is something new I’ve recently got into. Shaving my face does not sound glamorous at all, but there are some benefits to it. It’s a great way to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells from the surface. This way products absorb better and you get better results. I do plan a detailed post on it, so stay tuned. The face razors that I’ve been using are available on Amazon here. I like them a lot because they’re not abrasive, thus don’t irritate my sensitive skin, plus they’re super easy to use.
This brush has been life-changing when it comes to washing my makeup brushes. Cleaning my tools is such a daunting task that anything that makes my life a little easier is welcome. This brush has cut the time in half and made the work that much easier. It’s made from soft silicone, has a universal fit and features two sides. One side is for face brushes and the other for smaller eye brushes. There are 8 cleaning textures for deep cleaning, refining and re-shaping the brushes. There is a previous post on How To Clean Your Makeup Brushes here. You can find the Sigma Brush Cleaning Glove on Amazon here.
When it comes to skincare routines and applying makeup, these spa headbands are a girl’s best friend. They prevent product (whether skincare or makeup) from getting into the hairline. I’ve repurchased these several times and even gifted them to friends and family. I like these ones from Amazon here because they fit my head comfortably. The Velcro closure is well made and lasts a long time (thru daily use and countless washes in the washing machine).
