It’s incredible how powerful scents truly are! The other day I picked up the latest Glamour magazine (an oldie but still a goodie) and caught whiff of the latest Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau De Parfum (previously only sold in Eau de Toilette). The delicate fragrance enveloped my senses, bringing with it a plethora of memories. I was instantly transported to a period back in time, circa 10 years ago. Living in Chicago and working in corporate America, I lived the fast and glamourous life of a 20-something year old fearless and full of dreams.
It’s not that I don’t have dreams anymore, but the reality is life happens. The intensity of those feelings I once had has notably diminished with the passage of time. I’m trying my best to always stay on the sunny side of life, but sometimes I need a little help. Chanel Chance Eau Tendre was just the right pick-me-up! Now, the disclaimer. I’m not suggesting that buying the perfume helps with anything other than the need for a little indulgence, a little pampering of sorts. Which, we all deserve once in a while.
Chanel Chance Range
Chanel offers 4 different fragrances within the Chance range:
- Chance (available in Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette) – Key notes of jasmine, pink pepper, amber patchouli
- Eau Tendre (now available in Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette) – Key notes of jasmine absolute, rose essence, grapefruit, quince, green apple, white musk
- Eau Fresh (currently available only in Eau de Toilette) – Key notes of jasmine, citron, teak wood
- Eau Vive (currently available only in Eau de Toilette) – Key notes of jasmine, grapefruit, blood orange
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Reinvented
The signature floral-fruity Chance Eau Tendre just got an upgrade! The fragrance (previously available only in Eau de Toilette), has been reinterpreted by the brand into Eau De Parfum. Think more essential oils and less alcohol. It’s more intense, more seductive and lasts a lot longer.
What I love most about Chanel Eau Tendre is how unexpected the ‘floral-fruity’ combination truly is in this case. It’s by no means a unique combination. Yet no one has managed to translate the notes as distinctively as Chanel has. The fragrance starts out incredibly crisp and fresh with the sparkling infusion of Grapefruit, Quince and Green Apples, leading the way for an unexpected olfactory journey. The blend gradually unfolds into a sweet and tender trail of joyful Jasmine Absolute and delicate notes of Rose Essence mingling with the rich, seductive warmth of White Musk. The end result is a harmonic expression of fearless femininity, born from a simple yet most unexpected statement scent. You simply have to give this a whiff! It’s a delicate fragrance that lingers subtly for most of the day.
Packaging
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre Eau de Parfum comes in a spray format for easy application on the skin and clothing. The bottle looks incredibly chic and elegant, featuring a slim design with silver cap and gold accent.
Final Thoughts
Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is the kind of fragrance that immediately captivates your attention and charms your senses with an exquisitely delicate yet exceptionally powerful sensorial masterpiece! It’s such an uplifting, refreshing and feminine fragrance that I simply had to seize my Chance. It is my signature Spring scent and I can totally see myself wearing this into the summer as well.
You can now seize your own Chance at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Sephora, as well as at other Chanel retailers and on Chanel’s website here. Have you tried it yet? What’s your go-to fragrance this Spring?

This fragrance is one of my friends favourite fragrances and I love the smell on her. I have always not purchased it because it was an away de Toilette, I just like stronger fragrances but I am now tempted.
Thanks for sharing Cat x

I totally agree! I am such a Chanel fragrance fan as I wore Chance Original on my wedding day so it shall always be special for me. I adore the Eau Vive and tend to wear it a lot fun the Summer months but Eau Tendre is one I surely need to add to my collection anyhow. Such a stunning post Cat and your images capture the feeling of Chanel so well. – Kelly xx

My best friend has been wearing Chance for years, it’s her signature scent, so I never wanted to take that away from her wearing it myself as well but it’s a beautiful fragrance. I didn’t actually know there are 4 different variation of it.
From Chanel I adore Allure and Coco Mademoiselle, they’re my ‘feel fabulous’ scents 🙂 x

Thank you for stopping by, Dagmara. Chanel in general is a bit of an indulgence and I find their makeup hit or miss. But the fragrances are definitely worth the splurge. I haven’t tried Allure, but Coco Mademoiselle is one of my all time favorite scents (one of the only two I could wear when I was pregnant with my son, the other being Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil). Hope you try one of the 4 Chance versions. They’re all quite unique scents! ~ Cat L.
