The Viseart Theory II Minx is the palette that every makeup artist and makeup junkie alike have been showing all over Instagram over the past few weeks. I’m rather excited to be sharing this post with you today, as this palette arrived in a beautifully-wrapped package I found on my doorsteps the other day!
The Viseart Artistry
Viseart is a Parisian makeup brand that traces its glamorous beginnings to French television and film. The brand’s claim to fame rests with their exclusive artisan formulas, a seamless fusion of natural ingredients and modern technology for the sole intent of creating healthy products that go back to the roots of beauty: to naturally enhance the skin rather than aging it with harmful chemicals. Amazing pigmentation, versatile shades and excellent performance make Viseart products loved by professional makeup artists all over the world. All Viseart cosmetics are individually hand made in Paris, France, making them very Parisian chic!

The palette offers a versatile combination of mattes and satin shimmers comprised of 6 shades cleverly divided into two columns: the Mattes are on the left ranging from light to medium to deep, while the Shimmers reside on the right. With its warm-toned color story, this palette is very much reminiscent of the Urban Decay original Naked offering, the latter being one of those cult-classics with a total of 12 warm nudes.
The Mattes from top to bottom are:
- light rice paper ivory shade – perfect for all over the lid
- medium hazelnut brown – the ultimate crease shade
- deep chocolate brown – for deepening the outer corner, tightlining (applying liner underneath the upper lashes on the upper lash line), waterlining (applying liner inside the eye on the waterline) and filling in the brows
The Shimmers from top to bottom are:
- champagne shade – with a satin glow, frost-like finish. I like to pop this shade in the middle of the lid to bring luminosity to the eye, as well as to accentuate the inner corner and brow bone
- medium copper shade with an almost metallic finish
- rich cranberry chestnut brown with a metallic finish
The individual pans are removable and can be easily popped out of the compact if you so desire (think using them in a customizable Z palette). I also discovered that the cardboard packaging is meant to fold into a working easel. However my personal preference still remains to simply hold the palette in my hand and dip the brush into the shades as I work on my makeup.
The blend of natural ingredients and modern technology used by Viseart have created a formula that has a very unique, almost wet-like feel to it, which works to bring intense vibrancy to the shades and excellent lasting power. In my personal opinion, it is this innovative formula that has the ability to enhance any eye look and ensure the shades flatter even cool-toned complexions like mine. I read a few reviews on Sephora’s website about fall out associated with the shimmer shades, but I have not experienced any of that. As with all natural makeup formulas, the shades kick a little powder when the brush picks up color from the pan (this is typically due to a lack of silicones in the formula), but not nearly as much as the Anastasia Beverly Hills shadows (you can read my review of the Anastasia x Mario Master Palette here). The Viseart shades feel like the most expensive silk velvet on the skin and are such a sheer delight to apply.
For the eye look below, I started out by applying the rice paper matte shade all over my lid and added the hazelnut matte brown on the outer corner, blending it upwards into the crease. I then layered on a combination of the copper and chestnut shimmers to the outer third of my lid, blending out any hard edges. Next, I added a pop of the light champagne shimmer to the middle of my eyelid and on my inner corner, blending upwards towards the crease. I finished the look by lining my upper and lower lash line with the dark matte brown. This is a makeup look I found myself gravitating towards as it’s effortless and easy to accomplish, yet it instantly makes you look elegant and put together.

Cat! I was just looking at this 2 nights ago at Sephora when I searched “palettes”. This came up and I thought about it, thought about it….but moved on. You’ve never steered my wrong, so of course, I want to go get this now!!!! I think Viseart is so versatile and one of the perfect palettes for any makeup artist.
