Can you believe there are less two weeks left to Christmas? It’s really coming down to the wire now and ready or not, this year is rapidly drawing to a close. I haven’t yet finished my holiday shopping or getting the house in order. But with so much to do and so little time, it’s safe to say ‘tis the season… to multitask, whichever way and whenever possible. Meet Pixi Beauty MultiBalms, a multi-use product for cheeks and lips! Now these have been out for a while. If you’ve already tried them, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments down below. But if you haven’t yet, I’ll introduce the collection and show you swatches of all 5 shades.
It doesn’t surprise me that Pixi Beauty thought to design a multi-use product. Petra, the brand creator herself, thrives on multitasking. She is a mother, a makeup artist, and the creative force behind the beauty line with minimalistic, green packaging you’ve seen at Target every time you pop in for necessities and leave hours later with more than just that (guilty!). And if you’re anything like me, you haven’t just seen the products from a distance, but over the years you’ve allowed yourself to get tempted (and really it’s not that hard, the products are beautiful and reasonably priced, great for any budget) and you’ve even tried a thing or two. Their Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser and Pixi Glow Tonic have been staples in my beauty cabinet for years now.
The MultiBalms are another one of those products I anticipate I won’t find myself without! Conveniently packaged in a twist-up chubby stick, thus perfect for traveling and to carry around, the MultiBalms are designed to work for the cheeks and lips. But you can also use them on the face to add dimension (Sheer Sculpt is perfect for that) and on the eyelids as a base for your eyeshadow or a wash of color (I’ve used Sheer Sculpt and Wild Rose for this purpose). With an innovative cream to powder formula, these balms combine the best of both worlds: the cream gives a natural pop of color to the face without settling into fine lines or accentuating any imperfections, whereas the powder finish ensures the product stays on the skin all day.
There are 5 shades available, including 1 for contouring. The colors, from left to right, are:
- Baby Petal – light pinky beige, it’s the sheerest of the bunch, requiring several swipes to show on my skin
- Watermelon Veil – medium pink
- Wild Rose – medium mauvey rosewood
- Soft Strawberry – medium berry red
- Sheer Sculpt – neutral brown (not too ashy, not too warm) perfect for contouring and adding dimension to the face
I find the cream formula very easy to work with. It glides smoothly onto the skin without disrupting any previously applied makeup, such as foundation and powder, blends seamlessly using your fingers, a brush or the beauty blender. The finish is light and natural, but can be built for a more dramatic look. The formula is infused with aloe vera, shea butter and rose hip oil, providing some skincare benefits as well, and is paraben free. Not tested on animals.
My lips are naturally dry. On most days I gravitate toward lip products that provide hydration and a pop of color. These Pixi Multibalms feel and look like a tinted lip balm. But of course the color can be built for a more intense look. Plus, they last on the lips much longer than a lip balm (on my lips, the color lasts for about 5 hours). When used on the cheeks, the MultiBalms feel silky and smooth, giving an effortless, natural flush. The formula doesn’t cling to dry patches, nor does it settle to accentuate pores and fine lines.
Here is a look featuring these Pixi MultiBalms. I started out by using Sheer Sculpt just under the cheek bones to add dimension, on top of which I added Wild Rose as a transition color along the sides of the cheek bones. Then I used Water Melon Veil on the apples of my cheeks to add a little pop. I decided to use Soft Strawberry as my lip color of choice, it’s a shade that instantly perks me up! You can see on the lips that the finish given by the cream to powder formula is not glossy nor matte, but very elegant and flattering.
The Pixi MultiBalms are available in Target stores and online on the Pixi Beauty website. They offer international shipping and free shipping for orders over $25. A BIG thank you to Linda from SilverKis’ World and Pixi Beauty for sending these over to me. They were sent to me under no obligation to review. But I’ve enjoyed these MultiBalms so much and was so pleasantly surprised by the formula, that I felt compelled to bring them to you on the blog. Hope you enjoyed the post!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy Holiday Season!

Love this post! You look totally gorgeous and think this is my favourite look of yours for me! Everything just suits you so well. I have heard a lot about these balms as they have stalked my IG feed but I have not tried much from Pixi at all apart from an eyeliner but is surely a brand I think I need to get more involved in. Great review as always and stunning shots. Loved it. Kelly xx

These multibalms look like great multitasking products! I absolutely adore the look you created with these – always so polished. They look very balanced, not overly dewy nor matte. Best of all, they’re affordable! I think my pick would be Wild Rose, of course I am always drawn to rosy-mauve shades!

Gorgeous!! I’ve always wanted to pick up something from Pixi whenever I’m at Target! But, I never know what to get! I have another excuse to head back to Target now and will pick one of these beauties up!!! I really love your eyeshadow look in this review, Cat! What are you wearing! Also, unrelated here…you are the queen of Charlotte Tilbury! Can you recommend must have products from her line aside from the contour and highlight palette, please?
Cat says
Hi Kate thank you for stopping by! I adore your blog and it is always such a pleasure when you stop by and leave me a comment! Thank you so much!
I created the eye makeup look you see here using the Anastasia Beverly Hills x Mario Master Palette. It is a tad out of my comfort zone, a little too much for me for day to day, but a look I’ve been wearing a lot to holiday parties this season. As far Charlotte Tilbury, I adore her makeup line so much. I recommend her face powder (one of the best compact powders in my humble opinion, so finely milled, looks like second skin, so undetectable to the naked eye), her eyeshadow quads (I think I reviewed the Golden Goddess here on the blog if you just search for it), and her lipsticks are my all time favorites (I reviewed her famous Very Victoria matte lipstick inspired by Victoria Beckham and her Hot Lips collection here on the blog). I’ve also tried her Wonder Glow primer and I like it. It’s a bit dewey and luminous for me for every day, but if you can get a sample to try, go for it. I find it works best when mixed in with the foundation. I’ve also heard great things about her Magic Foundation, but I have to finish some of the ones I already own before I can allow myself to try it. Hope this helps! Now off to catch up with your blog! ~ Cat L.

We all need at least one multi tasking product in our lives, particularly as the days seem to be all too short for everything we would like to get done. Thanks for a lovely blog post. My favorite colors are Baby Petal and Soft Strawberry 🙂
Jenny says
I’ve always liked the idea of lip + cheek-in-1 products, but most of them are quite dry and difficult to apply. The Pixi ones sound very hydrating, and the colors are absolutely gorgeous! I love Watermelon Veil, it’s such a fun pink color! I will need to check these out next time I’m at Target!

I love the idea of a multi balm, being able to serve more than one purpose allows me to be able to carry less. The colors are awesome , all of them can be worn everyday . Great post Cat!
