Hello my beautiful friends. It’s been a while since my last post, but what better way to break the blogging silence than with a roundup of what’s new (and worthy) at Sephora. The time couldn’t be better really, as the Sephora Semi-Annual Sale is currently in full swing. Everything and every major brand is available for a limited time for 15% off. No exclusions.
I have previously talked about Sephora Classics and What to Buy at Sephora in a previous post here. I love trying new products, swatching colors and experimenting with different textures, always convinced that I’ll find something better than the last. And I have found a few new Sephora releases that I cannot wait to share with you.
Note: This post is not meant to be an in-depth review of every product mentioned, but rather a quick overview. I will, however, link a detailed review where I can find one. Here are my New Sephora Splurges and Recommendations for the VIB Sale …
~ Skincare ~
- NuFace Mini – This is a micro-current device I’ve been using for the past few weeks. It’s one of those beauty tools that sound like a good idea and if you stay consistent with their use, they become an excellent idea and a can’t live without type product. I’ve been so obsessed with the results that I plan an in-depth review on what it does exactly, how to use and the results I’ve experienced. In the meantime, you might want to take advantage of the Sephora Sale and snag this for 15% off.
- Drunk Elephant The Littles Skincare Set – Drunk Elephant is one of the IT natural skincare brands at the moment. I’m not the biggest fan of their name, but I LOVE their ethos and products!! The Littles is a deluxe travel-size set created to address every skincare need and a great opportunity to sample the brand. The Littles set was the only skincare I took with me on my recent trip to Key West (which you would have seen on my Instagram @DailyCatL ). I loved how my skin looked and felt during the trip so a detailed review will be coming to the blog very soon.
- Clarins SOS Hydra Mask – Anyone with a busy life knows just how precious time is. Most of us certainly don’t always have 20+ minutes to sit around with a face mask on and then wait for days to witness the results. This is a highly refreshing cream mask that helps balance the skin’s moisture levels in just 10 minutes. It’s the kind of mask that your skin and schedule will love. You can find all the details in a previous post here.
- Kate Somerville Cold Cream Cleansing Balm – I adore using cleansing balms to remove my makeup and as second cleanse. The minute I learned about this latest Kate Somerville release, I knew I had to try it. It’s a cream cleanser that has the power to melt away the makeup, leaving the skin feeling hydrated and nourished. It’s definitely something I see myself using for years to come.
- Kate Somerville Wrinkle Warrior Pink Mask –Yes, it’s pink! And have I mentioned it’s sparkly too? But looks aside, this mask features three different sizes of Hyaluronic Acid, which the skin absorbs at different levels. It instantly delivers a shot of hydration to tired and dull-looking skin. You can find a detailed review and photos in a previous post here.
- Caudalie Premier Cru – Caudalie is a brand I discovered years ago as a young adult. I have previously mentioned some of their products here and here. The Premier Cru range has been designed to deliver ultimate anti-aging action. It features a serum and moisturizer formulated with an exclusive blend of all Caudalie patented ingredients such as Resveratrol, Viniferine and Polyphenols. More details in an upcoming blog post.
- Fresh Deep Hydration Toner – Hands down, not just the prettiest but also THE most hydrating toner I’ve tried to date. It’s infused with real rose petals floating gracefully inside the bottle and ensuring the product feels as refreshing as it looks. It’s incredibly soothing and comforting on the skin. I’ve gone thru countless bottles already and also purchased this as a gift for friends.
- Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Face Cream – This cream is so lush and smells heavenly. It’s formulated with rosewater, rose flower oil and hyaluronic acid to intensely hydrate and moisturize. Stay tuned as I plan an in-depth review!
- L’Occitane Immortelle Range – One of the most luxurious skincare lines I have ever tried is the L’Occitane Divine Immortelle range. Highly concentrated in Corsican Immortelle Flower Essential Oil, this range helps improve the skin’s ability to fight environmental aggressions and aging. My stepmother introduced me to this line a few years ago and I’ve been using their products on and off ever since. I will share my experience with the Divine Immortelle Range in an upcoming post. But you really can’t go wrong with any of the products offered in this range.
- L’Occitane Lip Balm – You might not be thinking about lip balms now that the winter’s over, but protecting the lips is an all-season kind of task. L’Occitane makes some of the most moisturizing lip balms I’ve tried! I take them everywhere with me! The L’Occitane lip balms do an excellent job protecting, nourishing and keeping my lips moisturized. I also like that their lip balms come in a tube thus preventing contamination and ensuring they’re easy to travel with.
~ Makeup ~
If you’re going thru a makeup rut or just curious to try something new, the Sephora Sale is the ideal time to treat yourself or simply stock up on favorites. I have previously talked about some Sephora Must-Have Classics in a previous post here. Now I’d like to focus on some new releases worth a try …
- Artis Brushes – Their face brushes are game changing!! Nothing compares to the Artis Palm Brush Mini reviewed here or the Artis Oval 6 and Oval 7 reviewed here and here.
- Clarins SOS Primers – These are an innovative range of primers designed to target specific skincare concerns such as radiance, fatigue, dark spots, and redness. You can find additional details in a previous post here.
- Urban Decay Backtalk Palette – This has been my go-to palette since the day I received it. The color story features a universally flattering, all-new range of nude-mauve pink, soft berry and muted rose shades for eyes and cheeks. There are tons of photos, swatches and a makeup look here.
- Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat – The only palette I packed with me on my recent trip to Key West, a travel blog coming soon. Inspired by the Naked Heat, this petite palette holds an all-new lineup of 6 scorched neutrals perfect for every day, every occasion, every outfit, trend or season. Detailed review, swatches and a makeup look here.
- Urban Decay Lipglosses – I have a love/hate relationship with lip glosses. On one hand, I love the effortless, natural finish. On the other hand, I am constantly battling the hair vs. lipgloss fight! But in true Urban Decay fashion, these glosses are outstanding. I reviewed and swatched all 20 shades here.
- Kevyn Aucoin Eyelash Curler – A great eyelash curler is game-changing!! I have answered a few frequently asked questions on eyelash curlers and reviewed the Kevyn Aucoin curler in comparison to the Surrat one in a previous post here.
- Hourglass powders and blushes – If you haven’t tried Hourglass powder formulas yet, you need to pronto and the Sephora VIB Sale is the perfect opportunity. They are ultra-fine and look so natural on the skin. I have covered in detail and swatched the Hourglass Ambient Surreal Light Palette here. There will also a be a detailed review of some of their latest powders and blushes (feature in the photo) coming to the blog soon.
- Hourglass Vanish Foundation Stick – This foundation won me over!! It wasn’t love at first try, but once I figured out that a little goes a long way, we’ve become inseparable! It has such a great formula that conceals every imperfection while still looking like flawless second skin. A detailed review and photos will be coming to the blog soon.
~ Bodycare ~
Some of my favorite bodycare products are by L’Occitane. I’ve used them for years and always restock during the Sephora Sale. From texture to scents, these luxurious products offer a sensorial immersion in natural beauty and provide an instant feeling of well-being.
- L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil – Infused with more than 50% of almond oil sensibly sourced from the South of France, this moisturizing body oil deeply hydrates, nourishes, firms and smoothes the skin.
- L’Occitane Ultra Rich Body Cream with 25% Shea Butter – This cream has a beautifully soft texture that leaves the skin feeling moisturized, smooth and revived. I like to apply it all over the body, focusing on areas that tend to get really dry such as my knees, elbows, the soles of my feet.
