The Natasha Denona Mini Nude is the palette that every makeup artist and makeup junkie alike have been showing all over Instagram these past few weeks. I think it’s such a smart move when brands release mini versions of their products, especially eyeshadow palettes. For starters, chances are no shade is a dud and you’ll be using every single color included. Thus, nothing is wasted and I feel a lot better about spending my hard-earned money. Secondly, it’s an opportunity to sample the brand, a chance which is often times hard to pass up.
I’m not sure I would have ever tried anything from Natasha Denona had it not been for this mini. It’s hard to justify purchasing yet another palette to join the vast sea of palettes I already own. And realistically, will never get to finish. But this mini is reasonably priced, features a versatile selection of neutrals (perfect for every occasion, trend or season) and comes nicely packaged in a slick case (perfect to carry around in your purse or for travel).
So let’s dive in. I’ll tell you why you might not need this palette, but why you might have to re-consider…
Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette
The Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette is a warm-toned selection of 5 striking eyeshadows (2 mattes and 3 satin shimmers) in the neutral/bronze/copper family.
Formula, Pigmentation and Lasting Power
I wanted to start with the formula. Because it completely blew me away. I have yet to meet any eyeshadows made in Italy where I didn’t like the formula. This Natasha Denona Mini Nude Palette is no exception! The shades are smooth, incredibly silky on the skin and blend like a dream. There isn’t much powder kickback, which means there isn’t much fallout to require touchup. Even with the glitters. They look like pressed pigment: vibrant, rich and mesmerizing. But without the additional messy work involved when working with pigments. The pigmentation is just right. These shades are incredibly lively, yet I don’t have to spend hours layering and blending. They don’t seem to crease and last on the eyes for a good 7 hours.
All swatches above are single swipes.
Shade Range
To be completely honest, the shade range, although eye-catching, is not that unusual. I find the colors similar to the Viseart Theory Minx II, which I previously reviewed here. Although the Viseart shades are a bit more neutral. If you own any of the Urban Decay Naked Palettes or the Born to Run, which I covered in detail in a prior post here, you will be able to find some dupes. I also wish this palette included a matte light shade to blend across the entire eyelid. But despite these statements I just made, the shades spoke to me instantly. It is a warm-toned palette. However, the shade selection and different finishes make this palette wearable even for those cool-toned lovers like myself.
Final Thoughts
I bought this mini palette because I really wanted to try something from Natasha Denona. Her eyeshadows are typically quite pricey, although I’ve always heard rave reviews. So, curiosity got the best of me! But I don’t regret giving into the hype. I’ve been reaching for the Mini Nude Palette every day over these past few weeks. It is quite small, but no shade is a dud. The colors are vibrant, versatile and the formula is incredible. I think this mini size is a great opportunity to try the brand. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful review Cat! I’ve been curious about ND palettes as well and this mini one does seem like a good option to try out the formula! My only concern is that I already have so many similar shades, so it’d be awesome if she had other minis with different colors! 😍

Thank you for stopping by, Jenny. I hear you, I wish the minis featured a more unique selection of shade. However, the formula makes up for it. You simply have to give them a swatch next time you’re at Sephora. You will not be disappointed. ~ Cat L.
