Morphe is without a doubt one on the IT brands of the moment. Born in 2008 among artists and influencers in LA, the brand has quickly risen to fame and gained momentum thru endorsements and collaborations with famous YouTube beauty gurus like Jaclyn Hill, Jeffree Star and James Charles. They started out making professional-yet-affordable brushes, but didn’t stop there. The Morphe repertoire now features eyeshadow and blush palettes, lip colors and even foundation. They are here to ‘blend the rules’ (as stated on their website) and create killer makeup without killing our wallets. They are more than a brand, they are a ride-or-die family of like-minded creators and dreamers with a cult-like following.
For me, Morphe always took a backseat in light of other more publicized brands, and I’ll be frank, the plain plastic packaging did not speak to me in the slightest. But, they say you can’t judge a book by its covers. So is Morphe worth the hype? Read on for a detailed review and swatches of the Morphe 15T Your True Selfie Artistry Palette …
Morphe 15T Your True Selfie Artistry Palette
I recently had the opportunity to choose one of Morphe’s Artistry palettes and was kindly sent the 15T Your True Selfie Artistry Palette. What immediately drew me to this palette was the color scheme. It features an assortment of 15 mattes and shimmers ranging from vivacious sunset shades to earthy tones and packing a punch with vibrant jewel-colored shadows. It is a warm-toned palette. However, I think the liveliness of the colors makes this palette quite wearable and universally-flattering regardless of skin tone.

Formula, Pigmentation and Lasting Power
In terms of texture, formula and lasting power, the eyeshadows included in the Morphe 15T Selfie Artistry palette remind me a lot of MAC eyeshadows.
I have to admit I’m quite impressed by the formula and lasting power of these shades. They swatch just as vibrant and pigmented as they look in the pan. There isn’t much powder kickback which I really like (and unlike my Anastasia Sultry Palette see here) and the brush seems to pick up just the right amount of color. The shades blend effortlessly and last on my eyes, without creasing and without a primer, pretty much all day. And that says a lot, considering I live in hot and humid Florida. The mattes do seem a bit drier than my Urban Decay Eyeshadows (see reviews for Naked Heat here, Naked Cherry here and Backtalk here) or my Viseart Theory Minx II Palette detailed in a previous post here.
The only downside I can think of, is that this palette does not include a lighter shade for the inner corner of the eye and the brow bone. But I often times use my highlighter as an eyeshadow to bring light to the eyes. I quite prefer it this way as I think it makes the makeup look a bit more cohesive and modern.
Final Thoughts
You can’t watch a popular YouTube beauty video without hearing about a Morphe brush or eyeshadow. And now I finally understand why! The Morphe 15T Selfie Artistry is a great option whether you’re a makeup pro or just starting out. The shades are pigmented, blend like a dream, don’t seem to crease and have great lasting power! Plus, you just can’t beat their $16 price for a 15-eyeshadow palette!!

Their prices are definitely very competitive. I do agree that some shades are better than others. For instance, I love love their shimmers but find the mattes a bit dry for my personal preference. However, the lasting power of their shades is great. I would highly recommend checking them out whether you’re a beginner or a makeup pro. ~ Cat L.
