There are very few brands out there that are as consistent and as luxurious in every way as Kérastase. I discovered the brand many moons ago, when I first dabbled in balayage hightlighting. I loved the sun-kissed multi-dimensional look, but hated the way it left my hair: dry, brittle and weakened. Kérastase is a luxurious Parisian brand I’ve come to rely on for gentle yet effective products that will look after my sensitive hair. And now, Kérastase expands their exquisite haircare range with the addition of 3 new products: Elixir Ultime Sublimating Marula Oil Infused Hair Mask, Elixir Ultime L’Huile Légère Bi-Phase Oil Mist and Aura Botanica Eau De Vagues Texturizing Wave Spray.
Kérastase Elixir Ultime | Le Masque Sublimating Marula Oil Infused Mask
A good hair mask is a staple in my haircare routine. I tend to alternate between conditioner and hair mask, using the latter at least once a week. What I love about the Kérastase Elixir Ultime Le Mask is that it’s lightweight and penetrates the hair easily. It repairs and restores hair’s strength, manageability and moisture levels. It not only protects the color by preserving its vibrancy, but it also nourishes and strengthens the hair fiber. My hair is left feeling soft, shiny and easy to style. I apply it from my ears down all the way to ends after shampooing and rinse it off after 5-10 minutes. It’s the kind of mask that your hair and schedule will love!
Kérastase Elixir Ultime | L’Huile Légère Bi-Phase Oil Mist
Who doesn’t love voluminous, shiny, frizz-free hair? With the new Elixir Ultime L’Huile Légère is easy for your roots and ends to achieve THE best hair results. L’Huile Légère is a leave-in nourishing hair mist. It’s formulated specifically for finer hair types to provide thickness, body and shine. I am a big fan of L’Huile Originale, the iconic Kérastase oil serum for normal to thick hair. But over the years, I’ve noticed that my hair has started to become a bit finer due to constant coloring and balayage highlighting, coupled with regular use of curling wands and flat irons.
So, I was very happy to learn about the launch of L’Huile Légère and very grateful to have the opportunity to try it. I personally think that for my hair, Kérastase L’Huile Légère works a lot better. It features a nourishing formula (Ancient Myrrh and Amla extracts blended with Marula, Argan, Camellia and Corn Germ Oils) to deliver active nutrients that deeply penetrate the hair fiber. It doesn’t weigh my hair down and there is no buildup. Simply shake the bottle and spray on wet or dry hair before styling. It tames my unruly locks, leaving them soft, shiny and manageable. The hair looks healthy, nourished and the frizz appears controlled. And that’s frizz control is a big one for me, especially with our humid Florida climate. Simply put, Kérastase L’Huile Légère is liquid gold for the hair!
Kérastase Aura Botanica | Eau De Vagues Texturizing Wave Spray
Kérastase unveiled a new styling must-have under the brand’s natural origin collection, Aura Botanica. If you’re curious about natural-origin ingredients (what that means and why they’re all the rage at the moment), I have a detailed post here. The Kérastase Aura Botanica Eau De Vagues is a texturizing spray that helps create that après-beach look. It is a sugar spray which means the texture of the hair is soft beachy waves with zero crunch (one of the downsides of salt-based sprays). Simply spritz on towel-dried hair and let it air dry for effortless waves or blow dry or curl for more definition.
I am waiting for the Sephora semi-annual sale in a few short months to stock up on Kérastase Elixir Ultime L’Huile Légère. It has officially earned a permanent spot in my beauty cabinet! What about you? Do you have some permanent haircare fixtures in your beauty cabinet?
