Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base

I’m a big fan of products that successfully combine makeup with skincare and the Burberry Fresh Glow Fluid Base does so brilliantly.  This is a lightweight, multi-use primer that works to create a flawless canvas for makeup application while hydrating, illuminating and enhancing the skin’s natural radiance. It can be worn alone, or mixed in with your foundation or moisturizer/SPF. It’s such a game-changer that it’s already been crowned the winner of Allure Magazine’s Best of Beauty awards.

I’ve been reaching for this primer daily, whether I’m wearing a full face of makeup or no makeup at all. It does an excellent job prepping and priming the face, ensuring my makeup stays put all day without the need to touch up throughout the day. Formulated with a blend of reflective pearls, it blurs minor imperfections and illuminates the skin for a more youthful appearance. The finish is natural, dewy, and luminous. There is no glitter or shimmer in sight, but luscious, lively, healthy-looking skin!

The Burberry Fluid Base is also the perfect solution for those makeup-free days when I’m off to a late start, but still want to look rested and polished. I quickly dab it along the perimeter of my face after I moisturize and apply my SPF, massage it into the face and it instantly revives my complexion! The formula contains wild rose extract, which provides hydrating benefits and regenerating properties. The skin is moisturized, protected and has a natural healthy glow.

Burberry Face Contour Pen

When it comes to contour pens, I have to admit it took me a while to warm up to the idea. I had watched countless videos on YouTube and Instagram but when it came to actually practicing the techniques, I struggled. The main problem I seemed to always encounter was disrupting previously applied products such as foundation and powder. Until I found some user-friendly formulas like the Pixi MultiBalms (reviewed here) and now the Burberry Face Contour Pen. The Burberry one is a big winner because it’s not just a great contour pen, it’s also very precise, allowing you to control how dramatic or subtle your contour is, whether you’re defining your cheekbones or sculpting the nose.

What’s great about the Burberry pen is that it can also be used as an eyeshadow to enhance the eyes. It’s such a gorgeous hazelnut shade with a matte finish! The formula feels like the most expensive silk velvet and blends seamlessly. It has an almost wet-like formula, not drying at all, and looks so flattering on the eyes.

Fresh Glow Highlighting Luminous Pen

If you’re all about the natural glow, you will adore this is creamy, precision highlighting pen. It’s a soft, iridescent cream-to-powder stick that glides effortlessly and melts into the skin to illuminate and enhance. Just dab around the areas you’d like to accentuate: cheekbones, brow bone, collar bone, the inner corner of the eye, the tip of the nose and cupid’s bow. Blend with a brush or with your fingers, and voila! Just like that, it does the trick!

The Burberry Fresh Glow Highlighting Pen works equally well as a cream eyeshadow base and pairs perfectly with some of my all-time favorite Burberry eyeshadow palettes, Nude Blush (previously shown here) and Mocha (shown in the makeup look below).

Fresh Glow Highlighting Powder Compact

The star of the collection is a heart-stopping, highlighting powder compact with the most whimsical lace-like pattern. Burberry powder formulas are well-renowned. I have previously raved about their limited-edition Silk and Bloom Blush here and this highlighter is no exception. It has a pearlized sheen finish that really illuminates and enhances the skin in the most natural way. The shade I have is an elegant Rose Gold, that imparts a delicate, soft and subtle lit-from-within glow.

The highlighting powder is hard-pressed, but it picks up easily on a highlight brush such as my beloved ZOEVA reviewed here and blends effortlessly on the skin. I love that it doesn’t cling to dry patches or accentuate pores. Included with the compact is a small, angled brush that surprisingly works really well. The bristles don’t shed, are not overly soft or stiff and seem to pick up just the right amount of product.

Lip Color Contour

Burberry lipstick formulas are some of my most favorites in general and the new Burberry Lip Color Contour is so much more than just a lipstick. It primes, colors and shapes for naturally fuller-looking lips. I cannot stop reaching for this! The color is such a me shade! It’s an alluring warm nude with a very vintage feel to it, perfect for any occasion, trend or season. It has a soft, creamy formula that glides on easily and applies evenly with just one swipe.

The finish is a velvety matte, but unlike a matte lipstick, the formula feels incredibly comfortable on the lips and at the same time, wears just as well as a matte. After about 5 hours and a copious meal it begins to wear off (my personal experience), however that isn’t a problem as it can be easily reapplied even without a mirror. It feels so soft and moisturizing on the lips, a sensation that lingers even after the color wears off.

And putting this collection in context, above is a makeup look featuring all of the items discussed today. I started out by applying Burberry Fresh Fluid Base as a primer for the face. Next, I used the Burberry Contour Pen to warm up the cheeks and define my eye crease. I used the Burberry Highlighting Pen as an eye shadow base for my Burberry Mocha palette, as well as to accentuate the browbone and inner corner of the eye. Finally, I lightly dusted some Burberry Highlighting Powder along the cheekbones and on the tip of my nose and finished the look with Burberry Lip Color Contour on the lips.

Burberry is one of my most favorite high-end brands when it comes to makeup, so their offerings never disappoint. It’s been such a dream come true to collaborate with Burberry and it still feels so surreal. I am beyond grateful and humbled to have been sent this entire collection complimentary for testing. But if I were to tell you to try only one thing, I would probably suggest the Fresh Glow Fluid Base. It is the product that you will get the most use out of and probably use daily. Unless you already have an illuminating primer that provides skincare benefits, which case I would suggest to try the Lip Color Contour or the Fresh Glow Highlighting Powder Compact, if you’d like to own a palette unlike any other.
