Please tell me I’m not the only one tempted to unload my entire vanity into my travel bags before a trip!!! Between outfit planning and searching for travel-size toiletries, packing for a vacation can be quite stressful and downright overwhelming. Suitcase space is limited and you certainly don’t want to leave any coveted necessities behind. So what’s a girl to do? The biggest favor you can do yourself is plan ahead. And since that’s always easier said than done, I thought I’d share with you 7 Beauty Products I recently took with me to Philadephia. See how that trip turned out, what we did, where we stayed and where we ate in a previous post here.
Hope you enjoy this post and find it helpful …

No-Rinse Cleanser –
I wouldn’t recommend skimping on cleansing your face, but you certainly don’t have to spend hours by the hotel bathroom sink. Enter the genius world of micellar water!
Micellar water is a soap-free cleanser that uses molecules that work similar to magnets, to attract and lift dirt, oil and makeup from the face and eyes. There is no need to rub or tug on the skin. Just a quick swipe on a cotton pad and impurities are easily removed from the face. Since regular tap water never has to touch the face, the micellar water gently cleanses without drying the skin or affecting the skin’s PH levels. Bioderma has revolutionized the concept of no-rinse cleansing with the creation of Bioderma Micellar Water. Hands down my most repurchased to date! And now they also offer Bioderma Micellar Wipes, which are compact and so easy to throw in your bag. You can basically clean your face anytime and virtually anywhere. No excuses.

Revitalizing Mask –
While regular cleansing removes surface dirt and grime, only a facial mask will wipe off dead skin cells and draw out impurities from beneath the top layers of the skin. Thus unclogging pores. The Elemis Peptide Thousand Flower Mask is a new favorite. There are so many things I like about this mask! The formula is enriched with peptides, minerals and Sweet Clover extracts to revitalize the skin, Nordic Peat (organic matter from thousands of flowers rich in Humic and Fulvic Acids) to revive tired-looking skin, and a unique Willow Complex that gently exfoliates the skin to reveal a more luminous complexion. It comes in an easy to use, sanitary tube which is perfect for traveling. I like the consistency as it doesn’t dry on your face and it’s very easy to remove without tugging the skin.

Hydrating Serum –
It’s no secret that traveling can leave the skin feeling parched. Of course, drinking plenty of water always does the trick. Bonus points for adding lemon! But as intuitive as that sounds, sometimes it’s also difficult to do when traveling. A good weapon to have with you is a hydrating serum. The ones I recommend the most are Drunk Elephant B-Hydra previously introduced here and Skinceuticals H.A. Intensifer reviewed in great detail here. These serums deliver steady hydration throughout the day. The result is skin that is better hydrated, younger-looking and less likely to act up.

Facial Roller –
The benefits of using a facial roller are endless! I’m a big fan and have used them consistently for years now. There are previous posts describing in detail how to use a facial roller (read here) and a comparison between the two most popular (Jade vs. Rose Quartz) here. Facial rollers work to bring oxygen to the skin, increase circulation and blood flow, help with the detoxification function, tone up facial muscles, and aid in the absorption of skincare products. The skin is instantly rejuvenated and energized. Not to mention they work wonders on de-puffing the skin after a late-night vacation adventure! The Rose Quartz Roller I’ve been using recently is this one here.

Facial Mist –
To be honest, I like to use facial mists almost daily! They’re such a great pick-me-up for the skin and for the senses! The Fresh Rose Floral Mist and Caudalie Beauty Elixir are two products I’ve used for years! Both are incredibly luxurious, very spa-like and so refreshing on the skin. The Fresh Rose Floral Mist has a delicate scent and is infused with soothing rosewater. It’s alcohol-free and clinically-proven to moisturize the skin for 24 hrs! The Caudalie Beauty Elixir has a stronger herbal scent, but that I find very reinvigorating. It’s formulated with rosemary, mint, grape extracts, and rose essential oils. Both are paraben-free. I like to buy travel-size bottles of these mists and keep them in my purse for a midday refresher and an extra boost of hydration.

Sunscreen –
Whether you’re headed to Alaska, to London or the tropics, sunscreen should always be the one beauty non-negotiable in everyone’s skincare routine! The technology has come such a long way there is absolutely NO excuse not to wear SPF. For instance, the COOLA Makeup Setting Mist is an organic multi-purpose sunscreen spray with SPF 30 and hyaluronic acid. It keeps your makeup intact, your skin refreshed and it also protects against harmful sunrays. So if you love both makeup and great sun protection, this spray is for you! Simply mist it on after you apply your makeup and then throughout the day as often as you like. It feels weightless on the skin and so refreshing!
Another innovative product I recently discovered is the COOLA Organic SPF 30 Full Spectrum 360 Sun Silk Drops. This advanced formula protects the skin against environmental and digital rays, broad spectrum UVA/UVB and mitigates IR (Infrared) and HEV (High Energy Visible) Light. In short, it protects the skin from beach to boardroom (if you’re traveling for business)! While the technology is quite complex, these drops are so easy to use. Use them every day, alone on cleansed skin (after moisturizer) or mixed in with your moisturizer or foundation. Any person who uses a cellphone, computer or TV should try these drops! More sunscreen recommendations in previous posts here and here.

Vitamins –
Don’t forget to take your vitamins, even when or especially when traveling! Vitamins can take your health, skin and well-being to the next level. I am not a doctor or a nutritionist. I always encourage people to do their own research and decide for themselves. The vitamins that I’ve been taking recently are from HUM. HUM is a brand that believes beauty starts from within. I couldn’t agree more. Their vitamins and supplements are clinically-proven, non-GMO, gluten-free and sustainably sourced. Since nutrition is much more than popping a pill, HUM also provides free support and advice from expert Nutritionists available via their website. I plan a separate post discussing in details the HUM Glow Sweet Glow (vegan Gummies for skin hydration) and the HUM Collagen Pop (dissolvable collagen + Vitamin C Boost).
I’d love to know your travel beauty essentials! Please do let me know in the comments down below.
Safe travels!
